New releases

2009 Jezebel Blanc

Our first release of the '09 vintage: A blend showing the diversity that Oregon has to offer.

2008 Daedalus Gruner Veltliner

2008 Jezebel Pinot Noir

2008 was long and cool with lower yields. There was not heavy rain pressure, so grapes were allowed to ripen slowly over time. These wines are balanced with great purity of fruit and structure.

2007 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

2007 Labyrinth Pinot Noir

2007 Maresh Vinyard Pinot Noir

The 2007 vintage was a great year for Pinot Noir. Some critics initially panned the vintage because it was a difficult year, and not all of the wines that came out of it were show stoppers. There was a significant rain event on 9/29/07, and those who panicked and picked everything before the rain were able to make decent wine but those who waited (and we did) were rewarded. The grapes gained flavor but not alcohol due to the cool weather. The resulting wines have superb natural acidity, modest alcohol levels, but also superb flavors and concentration.

2007 Pinot Gris

2007 Maresh Riesling

The 2007 vintage was also truly a great vintage for whites, and the Pinot Gris is showing beautiful citrus notes along with balanced minerality. The 2007 Riesling, from 40-year-old Maresh vines, is a bright and lively wine, with limestone, petrol, and the tiniest hint of sugar.

CHARDONNAY

2006 Lia’s Vineyard (formerly Jacob Hart) Chardonnay.

The grapes were fermented using natural yeasts indigenous to the vineyard in an effort to build complexity and preserve the natural expression of the terroir.  Fermentation was in 100% neutral French oak barrels and included frequent stirring of the lees to build a rich mouthfeel. The wine is structured and rich with flavors of ripe white-skinned fruits and complex elements of nuts, toast and minerality.

LAST SYRAH

We made 250 cases of Syrah in 2006.  It has great acidity and balance, yet plenty of dark fruit flavors and spiciness. It makes us a little sad that this is our last one, but our real passion is for Pinot Noir and that’s where we’ve decided to focus our red wine production.
